  • The Oregon Promise

    Attention Senior Students & Parents of Seniors-- There have been some adjustments to the Oregon Promise for the upcoming 2018-19 academic year.  Oregon Promise applicants who will start community college in 2018-19 will not be subject to an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) limit; all eligible applicants will be awarded the grant.  The deadline to complete the Oregon Promise Application and the FAFSA is June 1 before 5 PM.

    What is the Oregon Promise?

    The Oregon Promise is a state grant that covers most tuition at any Oregon community college for recent high school graduates and GED recipients.

    Who is eligible?

    Recent Oregon High School graduates with a 2.5 cumulative GPA that plan to attend an Oregon community college within 6 months of graduation.  You must be an Oregon resident at least 12 months prior to attendance.  

    How do I apply for th Oregon Promise?

    1. Go to OregonStudentAid.gov

    2. Create an account in the OSAC Student Portal

    3. Complete the Oregon Promise Application

    4. File your FAFSA and list at least one Oregon community college.

    How will I know if I am awarded?

    The Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC) will notify you by email about your application and/or award status.  You can also check your OSAC Student Portal account for all updates.

  • Scappoose High School Mascot to Remain Indians

    The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Oregon Board of Education officially approved the request by Scappoose School District to retain the Indians mascot. Go Indians!
