Scappoose School District graduation rates soar above state average
For the 2016-17 school year, Scappoose School District achieved a 93.05% graduation rate. This is considerably higher than the 76.7% state average and is the highest graduation rate in Columbia County. This is also a 1.72% increase from last year's graduation rate of 92%.
In 2015-16 the average graduation for the country was 84%. The state with the highest graduation rate was Iowa with an average of 91.3%. This means that Scappoose School District's 2016 and 2017 rates are above both the national average and the highest state's average.
Our staff at Scappoose High School is dedicated to the success of our students. Last year Scappoose High School introduced J-term classed for credit recovery and this year has launched the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Program to help further student success.
