Mrs. Karen Stoel

Salutations! My name is Karen Stoel. I have been a fourth grade teacher at Otto Petersen Elementary for 26 years. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Western Oregon State College in Monmouth, Oregon in 1991. I earned my Master of Education degree from Lewis and Clark College in 1999.

Prior to getting my teacher's degree, I was an assistant in Central School District for nine years. There I was half-time Printer, half-time Coordinator of the Science program for the elementary schools in the school district.

Teaching fourth grade was my dream job and has been my passion. I LOVE fourth graders and the teaching of Oregon studies, art, and science.

I have been married for 44 years, have two grown children, and four grandsons. I love gardening, talking walks daily with my dog, birding, and being with family and friends.

I feel very privileged to have taught so many children in the Scappoose community. I love watching my students grow as learners and seeing where life takes them after their school career! I tell my students I will ALWAYS care about them, and I do!
