The 2019 Oregon Legislature pass the Student Success Act which voted to invest in Oregon education. With Student Success Act funds, the goal is for all of Oregon's school districts to help students do better academically and emotionally. Starting next year, Oregon schools will receive funding to strengthen mental health resources and better support students who have been underserved by the education system.
The measure makes historic investments in programs to support historically underserved students. When fully implemented, the measure is expected to generate an approximately $2 billion investment in education which will go into the Fund for Student Success. From that money, $200 million goes directly into the State School Fund for additional support to districts. The rest is distributed as outlined below. Click on each fund name for more information on what that money is used for.
