Welcome to 7^th grade Language Arts! I’m Mrs. Schrunk and this is my sixth year teaching at Scappoose Middle School.

I am a life-long book lover—it started with marathon-readings of The Babysitter’s Club book series when I was in elementary school, and it has remained an important part of my life. I love to spend time with my family playing games, hiking, or watching movies. And I can’t go more than a day or two without a morning run.

General Class Information

In 7^th grade Language Arts you will be expected to read novels, short stories, poems, informational articles, and anything else we find together. You will write about what you’re reading and how it connects to the world outside the text, and you will have discussions about what you’re reading and writing. Everything we will do is centered on reading.
